“They were basically called 'fish camps,' and everybody would come down on the weekends and go fishing and everybody would get together as a group...When you're a kid you don't appreciate what you've got.”
When Frankie Pacetti was young, she and her family would drive from their home on St. Augustine’s bayfront to their fish camp on Pellicer Creek. She loved any excuse to fish with her dad and spend time on the water. Frankie’s family descends from Minorcan indentured workers who were brought to northeast Florida to manage indigo plantations in the 1700s. She’s worked in many different professions, not least among those as a commercial crabber with her husband E.J.
